Battle for the Board - November 4, 2008

Battle For The Board - November 4, 2008
On November 4, 2008, San Franciscans will head to the polls to elect the majority of the Board of Supervisors. Districts 1, 3, 4, 5, 7, 9, and 11 will all be up for grabs and the Usual Suspects team will be hard at work to keep you up to date with the latest election news on declared (and rumored) candidates. Supervisors McGoldrick, Peskin, Ammiano, and Sandoval will all be termed out while Supervisors Chu, Elsbernd and Mirkarimi are gearing up for the fights to retain their seats on the Board. That means four seats are wide open and three more are open for possible challenges. Over the next several months, political upstarts, a few political hacks, community leaders, and veteran and novice political operatives alike will begin to step forward in the races to become one of the newest members of San Francisco's legislative body. With that said, we've only got two questions to answer: Who's in? & Who's out?
