Anti-corruption measure gets new life

Supervisor Gordon Mar is proposing a ballot measure to establish a public advocate position in City Hall, which would “root out government corruption and the waste of taxpayer money.” Following the ongoing Mohammed Nuru scandal, voters may feel more compelled to set aside money for anti-corruption efforts, than in 2016, the last time a similar measure was introduced.
