San Francisco  surpassed the 100-case COVID-19 mark this weekend as local officials and hospitals continue to prepare for an increase in cases.

The Bill Graham Civic Center and Moscone Center are being considered as temporary emergency shelter for homeless residents for the duration of the epidemic.

On the medical front, doctors at UCSF continue to sequence the disease in hopes of finding a cure or treatment, while some front line emergency medical workers will begin wearing an experimental ring that monitors their temperature and other vital signs to detect early potential COVID-19 symptoms.
