City And State Leaders Still Struggling To Provide Care For Homeless

There are over 8,000 homeless in San Francisco alone. As city and state officials have ordered all residents to stay indoors during the coronavirus crisis, many are looking for facilities to get the homeless housed. Mayor London Breed has committed $5 million to deal with the crisis, on top of Governor Gavin Newsom’s $150 million in aid to local governments all over the state. The goal is to provide more beds, shelters, and RVs where the homeless can stay as well as provide those who are suffering from COVID-19 the health care they need. No word yet as to whether they will meet their goals of such a massive program.
