Thursday afternoon, Governor Newsom issued a Statewide stay at home order for the State of California, exempting 16 essential businesses and professions. The order, which impacts 40 million Americans, came on the heels of a report of a letter sent by Newsom to President Trump requesting emergency aid that warned that as much as 56% of the State’s population could become infected within the next 8 weeks if no protective measures were put in place. Newsom has also activated the National Guard to distribute food to those in need.
