Gov. Newsom’s homeless task force released a statement that “California should pass a constitutional amendment requiring all cities and counties to provide enough housing or shelter to put every homeless person under a roof.” SF is looking at old union halls as sites for new affordable housing, specifically for seniors in the Castro. And Attorney General Becerra fights to save the Housing Accountability Act, which “prevents cities from rejecting multi-unit housing that meets their local building rules.”
