Details emerge from a budget analyst report about MentalHealthSF, a joint proposal from Mayor Breed and the Supervisors Ronen and Haney.
The program would create additional outreach teams, expand treatment beds and capacity, and create an Office of Coordinated Care to expand case management and track capacity for the City’s mental health services. MentalHealthSF would target 4,000 San Franciscans with increased mental health services who would benefit from mental health services and are uninsured or on Medi-cal. The program is estimated to cost between $100 - $178 million a year, but will be capped at $150 million.
