Lynn Mahoney became the new President at San Francisco State University this semester. The is the first woman to hold the job. She took over the job after the university was plagued by several lawsuits and changes of both anti-Semitism and Islamophobia, and cuts to the Ethnic studies program. Both students and professors have noted her friendly, outgoing demeanor, and her ability to remember names. She will be overseeing the ambitious Future State 2035, which hopes to have 40% of students and 15% of employees housed on campus by constructing hundreds of new apartments.
