New counts were released by the Department of Elections on Wednesday afternoon - Suzy Loftus holds a slim lead of 50.3% over Chesa Boudin who is on her heels at 49.7%, a difference of 879 votes.

In the contentious D5 race to determine who will serve out the remainder of Mayor London Breed’s term vacated when she stepped into Room 200, Dean Preston holds a slight lead of 50.1% over sitting Supervisor Vallie Brown’s 49.9% with a mere 35 votes separating them. The DOE has approximately 40,000 ballots still to count.

In less contentious news, the measure to place an addition tax Lyft and Uber rides within San Francisco is so far squeaking by with the two-thirds threshold it needs to pass. The Dept. of Elections has approximately 40,000 ballots still to count.
