BART Explores Geary Extension (Again)

BART is once again considering an extension to Geary Boulevard as part of the agency’s study to build a second transbay tube.

Joe Fitz recounts the history of transit in the Richmond, which began with street cars in the 1950s that were replaced by buses in the mid-1960s, and the numerous discussions about bringing light rail back or adding a BART extension to the area that have been shelved over the past several decades.
