The PG&E-pocalypse

As of this morning, PG&E has cut power to 141,000 customers  - with reports that the number could swell to 800,000 - in hopes the outages will prevent trees from crashing into power lines as fast, dry winds blow into those areas.  The fallout has been tremendous, including school closures, health provider chaos, website failures, and more.

While San Franciscans remain unscathed---for now---the 8 other Bay Area Counties, along with 26 other counties statewide, are likely to be affected by mass power outages for several days.

(Yes, even the New York Times noticed.)
