Max Harris, “warehouse creative director” and one of two defendants in the criminal trial on Oakland’s Ghost Ship trial was acquitted by the jury of all 36 counts leveled against him.

Jurors remained deadlocked on master tenant Derick Almena’s guilt on involuntary manslaughter, prompting the judge to declare a mistrial. Harris a free man, while Alema remains in custody and will return to court in early October.
