A new report released by Human Impact Partners, a health research advocacy group, and Gig Workers Rising, an advocacy group for app-based gig workers, argues that decreased pay for Lyft and Uber drivers has pushed up the hours spent on the road, and in turn, increased health issues, including fatigue, muscle pain, kidney issues, depression, and more. The report advocates that the companies provide drivers a living wage, health benefits, and increased work transparency to alleviate these health issues.
