After 11 years, new affordable housing project opens doors in the Tenderloin

The Tenderloin’s newest housing project finally opened its doors this week, after an almost 11-year process. This nine-story housing complex with, 113 apartments for low-income residents, with community-oriented retail space is architecturally striking and unique. The long journey from conception to creation, detailed in the Chronicle’s article, embodies much of what makes building affordable housing in San Francisco challenging.
