Law to Cut \"Food Accessory Waste\" in Effect as of July 1

An ordinance to cut down on “food accessory waste” went into effect July 1st, requiring SF restaurants to stop automatically providing disposable items with customer’s orders, including plastic utensils, napkins, cup lids, condiments and straws, to name a few, unless the customer specifically asks for them.
