Tuesday, the Board of Supervisors voted to finalize the Castro LGBTQ historical district, making it the city’s third such district. The Board is also expected to soon tackle zoning changes in the Castro to make it easier for certain businesses to open along upper Market Street. Finally, Jason Clark, the San Francisco Republican Party’s gay chairman, has stepped down for a position in Washington D.C. with the Department of Commerce.
