San Francisco billionaire Tom Steyer officially launched his Democratic presidential campaign this morning. Steyer, who made his fortune as a corporate hedge fund manager, claims he is the best candidate to “end the hostile corporate takeover of our democracy.”

He immediately replaces East Bay Congressman Eric Swalwell who pulled out of the race yesterday after coming to terms with the polling and his campaign’s lackluster fundraising.
