Public Defender’s Office Criticizes SFPD For ‘Sandbagging’ Release of Records

Six months after SB 1421 went into effect, compelling the release of certain police records to the public, the public defender’s office continues to criticize the SFPD for ‘sandbagging’ the release of records. Thus far, SFPD has only released records from five officer-involved shooting cases, but has not released anything regarding dishonest officers or sexual misconduct.
