San Franciscans give their local government a “B-” grade, despite widespread sentiment that the city has failed to make meaningful progress on homelessness, which San Franciscans say is its biggest problem. Residents’ attitudes are the lowest around transportation services like MUNI and BART which bottomed out with a “C+” average.

The San Francisco Public Library scored highest in that survey, earning an A- from San Franciscans. Parks earned a B+, infrastructure a B-, 311 Services a B+, public safety netted a B and overall government performance a B-.
