Planning Commission Votes to Make it Easier for Nonprofits to Rent Castro Storefronts

On Thursday, the Planning Commission voted to make it easier for nonprofits to lease sidewalk-facing storefronts along Upper Market, and also tighten restrictions on “formulaic health care” facilities - such as urgent care centers - opening in ground floor spaces in the Upper Market area and throughout the City.
