Supervisor Vallie Brown’s legislation ban on cashless brick and mortar stores was amended yesterday in committee, moving it along the process for a full board vote.  The changes include extending the timeframe from 30 to 90 days for businesses to make the transition, something Brown says Amazon Go and other businesses has asked for, as well as banning surcharges and requiring cash be accepted for transactions of $5,000 or less.
