SF Poll Says Bring On The Housing

Support for the concept of preventing cities from restricting apartment construction within a half mile of a transit stations drew strong support Citywide, according to a new Chamber of Commerce poll. While not mentioned by name, Sen. Scott Wiener’s SB50 polled at 74% citywide, with District 4- a center of opposition to Wiener’s last effort, listed among the strongest supporters of the concept, which was framed as building near transit centers “so people could live closer to where they work.”
