A gas line exploded in the Richmond yesterday afternoon at Geary and Parker Ave, sparking a three alarm fire while raging for two hours. The line blew after a construction crew working for Verizon struck a PG&E gas pipe. While nobody was injured, and fire and PG&E crews were on hand to stop the fire from spreading, local restaurant Hong Kong Lounge II was destroyed, and the apartments above were likely impacted.
