Supervisor Sandra Fewer is asking the SFMTA to help her draft legislation that would ban private shuttles from using the City’s red transit-only lanes to help speed up City buses, while maintaining use of the lanes for MTA-regulated taxis and paratransit for the disabled.

In other news, the transit agency is behind on another construction project, causing headaches for riders of the T-Third Street line who were relegated to shuttle buses during yesterday’s morning commute.  SFMTA says trains will be back in operation this morning, and has three more weekend closures planned for the line between now and the end of February to complete the project.
