Wearing the hats of Lieutenant Governor, acting governor, and governor-elect Newsom said in a press conference Thursday that it will be difficult to outshine Governor Jerry Brown’s record on advancing LGBT rights.  During his tenure, Brown has signed a whopping 72 bills into law that protect the rights and improved the health of California’s LGBT community.

Newsom has not yet decided if they will move into the governor’s mansion in Sacramento, as his wife Jennifer Siebel Newsom and their four kids under the age of 10 may prefer to stay in Marin County.
