Conway Nowhere to be Seen, UC Prez Spends $1M to Get Office Back on Track

Ron Conway, the billionaire angel investor SF progressives love to hate, has not been as visible in local races this cycle, although his political adversaries say his influence is still alive and well behind the scenes through proxies and the tech political action committee he launched in 2015 to support moderate candidates.  Conway, who has not contributed to any local candidates this time around, says he has been more focused on national Democratic candidates and gun control efforts.
