A Wednesday decision by the State Supreme Court will allow disciplinary proceedings to occur for up to nine SF police officers who sent racially-charged texts in 2011 and 2012.

Asked by the officers’ lawyers to take up the case, the Supreme Court unanimously denied review of it.  If the Police Commission finds serious misconduct, the officers may be fired.
