Matier and Ross point out that while there are less than half the tents in San Francisco than there were at this time two years ago, but the ongoing homeless mental health epidemic, residents’ complaints about syringes and human waste, and BART’s problem with needles in its trains and stations show no signs of slowing down. This has led State Senator Scott Wiener, Mayor Breed, and Supervisor Mandelman to back state legislation that would expand homeless conservatorship laws.

In even less surprising news, Trump took a swipe at Senator Dianne Feinstein at a rally and a few tweets over the weekend for her former driver who was suspected - but never proven - of being a spy for the Chinese government in an attempt to discredit her support for the Russia investigation.
