District Attorney Using New Program To Clear Marijuana Convictions

District Attorney George Gascon unveiled a new computer program that will determine which of the 5,000 felony marijuana convictions is eligible for dismissal or reduced sentencing, and streamline the process for generating the necessary paperwork to file in court.

The DA’s office has cleared 428 misdemeanor marijuana convictions since January.
