Workers who contract in San Francisco could see their wages increase from $15 an hour to $16.86, if legislation proposed by Supervisor Jeff Sheehy passes. Sheehy introduced the 12% increase at the Board of Supervisors Budget and Finance Committee, but was postponed over cost concerns. The committee agreed to work out a compromise that would benefit other city employees including airport employees, nonprofit workers, and in-home care providers.
