Mayoral candidate and Supervisor London Breed is staying neutral on the ballot measure seeking to arm police officers with tasers.  Her opponents have taken sides - Angela Alioto in support, while Mark Leno and Jane Kim oppose.

If passed, the SF Police union backed measure would create a taser policy that the Police Commission would be all but locked into without going back to the voters or Board of Supes. The police union says they placed it on the ballot because the Police Commission took too long to pass a taser policy.

The Police Commission has said it will schedule a possible vote on a taser policy this week.
