The No Justice, No Deal Coalition, a collection of over 30 groups seeking to reform the SFPD are urging city officials to postpone police officers' contract negotiations until after Mark Farrell is out of office and replaced by an elected Mayor this summer.

Farrell has often voted in lock-step with the police union, though members of the Coalition claim that's not their reasoning. Instead, they believe the new contract, which will span ten years, should be negotiated with the next Mayor (rather than a temporary one) in place.
