Two additional Capitol staffers have come forward with allegations of harassment and inappropriate conduct on the part of a Statehouse lawmaker, and the CA State Senate finally moves its investigations to an outside firm, reports the Sacramento Bee.

One of the women coming forward is Jen Kwart, District Director for Assemblymember David Chiu, who shared her story about a 2008 encounter with now State Senator Tony Mendoza. State Senate President and Senatorial Candidate Kevin De Leon shared an apartment with Mendoza in Sacramento until this weekend, and had been criticized for allowing a panel of Senators to handle some harassment claims.

Assemblymember David Chiu released an unequivocal statement of support for Kwart via Facebook on Saturday.
