San Francisco attorney Mary Alexander has filed a wrongful death lawsuit against PG&E for negligence after a Mendocino couple died while trying to escape the flames. The suit claims that the company was not properly maintaining equipment, trees, and other vegetation which came into contact with power lines.

Meanwhile, PG&E is claiming that the Tubbs Fire (the largest of last month's fires, centered in Sonoma County) was a result not of their own negligence, but due to wires maintained by a third party.
