City Combats Family Homelessness with Relocation

In a dramatic shift in policy, San Francisco officials and supported non profits serving homeless families are increasingly using resources to help them relocate to more affordable cities, reports the Chronicle.

Hamilton House, a nonprofit that specializes in supporting homeless families, reports that 87% of the families they serve now live outside of San Francisco. 75% remained in San Francisco just three years ago.
